About this experience

On this daily tour, we will be exploring two of the country's most iconic sites: the Golden Circle and Kerlingarfjöll. Our first stop will be the Golden Circle, a popular route that includes three of Iceland's most famous attractions. We will start at Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is home to the world's oldest parliament and is also where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet.

Next, we will visit Geysir geothermal area, where you will have the chance to witness the powerful geysers and hot springs that give the area its name. The most famous geyser, Strokkur, erupts every few minutes. Our final stop on the Golden Circle will be Gullfoss, one of Iceland's most beautiful waterfalls. After the Golden Circle, we will head to Kerlingarfjöll, a mountain range located in the highlands known for its unique geothermal features, including hot springs, mud pots, and fumaroles. We'll end our tour with a drive back to Reykjavík.Available only in summer.

Itinerary

  1. Tour stop

    Your guide will come to pick you up at the Meeting Point - Bus Stop 1 - Ráðhúsið - City Hall. You can find all the informations about pick-up on your ticket. If you desire to have pick up at your accommodation, please select “Custom pick-up” during the online reservation.

  2. Tour stop

    Your first stop on the Golden Circle will be Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is home to the world's oldest parliament and is also where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. Here, you'll have the chance to explore the park's many hiking trails and take in the stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Time dedicated to visit this location is two hours; the remaining time is to reach it from meeting point.

  3. Tour stop

    At Geysir, you'll have the opportunity to witness the powerful geysers and hot springs that give the area its name. The most famous geyser, Strokkur, erupts every few minutes, shooting a column of steam and boiling water high into the air. Time dedicated to visit this location is 30 minutes; the remaining time is to reach it from the previous location.

    Gullfoss: one of Iceland's most beautiful waterfalls. As the water plunges into a deep canyon, it creates a dazzling display of mist and spray that is truly awe-inspiring. Time dedicated to visit this location is 30 minutes; the remaining time is to reach it from the previous location.

    Kerlingarfjöll is a mountain range located in central Iceland, known for its stunning geological formations and vibrant hot springs. The area is characterised by colourful rhyolite mountains, steaming vents, bubbling mud pots, and glacial rivers. We'll drive as close as possible to the hiking area where you can experience the natural power and beauty of Iceland. Time dedicated to visit this location is two hours; the remaining time is to reach it from the previous location.

  6. Tour stop

    After the amazing experience visiting the Golden Circle and the otherworldly Kerlingarfjöll, it’s time to drive back to Reykjavík.
