Itinerary

  1. Tour stop

Þingvellir National Park is so many things - first of all beatiful nature, unique nature, the only place in the world where you can see our tectonic plates meet. It is also one of the most historic sites in Iceland - where our old parlament was held. We will stop here for about an hour - visit the amazing viewpoint Hakið and from there walk down the biggest rift in the area - in between the tectonic plates and the location of the Wall from Game of Thrones.

  2. Tour stop

Geysir geothermal area is not the biggest one but with the erupting hot spring Strokkur it is most likely the most breathtaking one here in Iceland. Erupting in average every 4 - 7 minutes. But others hot spring are also worth the visit. Geysir, dormant but still the biggest one and many others spouting or bubbling showing us all this colours. Just amazing.

  3. Tour stop

Some people say Gullfoss or the Golden waterfall is the most beatiful one here in Iceland and we have many - you just have to be the judge of that. Around 32 meters (105 feet) in two steps so we can enjoy it from two levels and with the milky/brown glacier river colour you can just imagine why it got the golden name from - or what ?

  4. Tour stop

Friðheimar tomato and horse farm is a nice stop on our way from the Golden Circle to the South Coast. And a good stop for lunch. At the bar we can try the tasty and very famous tomato soup with bread - or the tomato beer - or one of the Bloody Mary you can find here - or the tomato ice cream. And before or after have a walk around the greenhouse with all the tomato plants. And before heading back to the car we can check out the icelandic horses they breed here on Friðheimar farm.

  5. Tour stop

Seljalandsfoss waterfall - around 60 meters (200 feet) gets it water from Eyjafjallajökull glacier or E15 as it was called after the eruption in 2010. In sommertime it is possible to walk behind it but if we are visiting in winter it is worth the stop - even in the evening when floodlighted.

  6. Tour stop

Eyjafjallajökull can be seen in good weather from big part of the South Coast route and the weather is in our favour we will make a view point stop on the way to hear about this giant volcano who interrupted so many travel plans in 2010.

    Pass by without stopping
  7. Tour stop

Skógafoss waterfall feeds from a mountain pass between two of our glaciers, Eyjafjallajökull glacier and Mýrdalsjökull glacier so it can be enormous. Falling down about 60 meters (200 feet) and we can walk so close at the bottom that we can almost touch him.

  8. Tour stop

One of the most breathtaking beaches in Iceland not only because of the black sand stretching in all directions. Here we can also enjoy view towards the famous Reynisdrangar sea cliffs. The basalt columns are amazing here at the beach and the lava formation all around them. Stop at the Black Sand Beach is surely something you dont want to miss out.
