  2. Tour stop

Sigöldugljúfur, also known as the Valley of Tears, is a canyon in the Icelandic Highlands. It is most renowned for and earned its nickname from its sheer number of waterfalls. Visit this fantastic area on a tour of the Icelandic Highlands. Driving between stops is included.

  3. Tour stop

Bláhylur Lake, also known as Hnausapollur, is a beautiful dark blue lake located near Landmannalaugar. This lake is often mistaken for its neighbor Ljótapollur as they look so similar, but Bláhylur is much easier to access. Driving time between stops included.

  4. Tour stop

Frostastaðavatn (Icelandic for lake of the frosty place) is a lake in Iceland. It is situated in the Highlands of Iceland, not far from the famous mountains of Landmannalaugar and the volcano Hekla. Evidence of volcanism shows around this lake; for example in the famous mixed lava flows from the 1477 combined eruptions of the Torfajökull and Bárðarbunga volcanic systems reaching down to the shore (lava flows of rhyolitic as well as basaltic composition). Driving time between stops included.

  5. Tour stop

Landmannalaugar is a location in Iceland's Fjallabak Nature Reserve. It is on the edge of the Laugahraun lava field. This lava field was formed by an eruption in approximately 1477. It is largely known for its natural geothermal hot springs and surrounding landscape. Landmannalaugar is at the northern end of the Laugavegur hiking trail. Driving time between stops is included.

  6. Tour stop

Hekla is an active stratovolcano in the south of Iceland with a height of 1,491 m (4,892 ft). Hekla is one of Iceland's most active volcanoes; over 20 eruptions have occurred in and around the volcano since the year 1210. During the Middle Ages, the Icelandic Norse called the volcano the "Gateway to Hell" and the idea spread over much of Europe. Hekla is part of a volcanic ridge, 40 km (25 mi) long. The most active part of this ridge, a fissure about 5.5 km (3.4 mi) long named Heklugjá is considered to be within Hekla proper. Hekla looks rather like an overturned boat, with its keel being a series of craters, two of which are generally the most active. Driving time between stops in included.
