Itinerary

  1. Tour stop

    This tour begins at either 10am or 2pm from our base at Brúbasecamp, Road 249, just 3km from Seljalandsfoss Waterfall. Tour Highlights include: • Eyjafjallajökull Glacier • View over Westman Islands • Goðasteinn (This is the highest point of Eyjafjallajökull at 1666m high!) • The effect of the 2010 eruption of the Eyjafjallajökull volcano What items we recommend that you should bring with you: As we will be spending time in the unpredictable Icelandic weather, it is important to be prepared. We recommend bringing warm outdoor clothing including: • Waterproof jacket and trousers • Warm head wear, for example, a woolen hat or balaclava (balaclavas are also provided if needed) • Gloves (although we can also provide gloves if required) • Appropriate hiking boots or shoes are required • Snacks
