Itinerary
- Tour stop
Your journey begins in Reykjavík, the northernmost capital in the world and the heart of modern Iceland. After pickup, we leave the city behind and head toward West Iceland, a region known for its powerful geothermal activity, historic sites connected to Icelandic sagas, beautiful waterfalls, and glaciers. Today’s route follows the scenic Silver Circle, offering a fascinating mix of nature, history, and unique experiences.

Two very different but equally impressive waterfalls located side by side along the Hvítá river. Hraunfossar is a unique series of gentle streams that emerge directly from beneath a vast lava field, creating a long line of small waterfalls flowing into the river. Nearby Barnafoss contrasts dramatically, with powerful glacial water rushing through a narrow and rugged canyon.
- Tour stop
From the Húsafell area you will board a specially modified glacier vehicle that drives onto Langjökull, Iceland’s second-largest glacier. The tour takes you deep inside the ice cap through a man-made ice tunnel, where you can walk through bright blue ice corridors and chambers while learning about glaciers, climate, and the fascinating geology of Iceland.
- Tour stop
A charming stop along the Borgarfjörður river where energetic waterfalls cascade through dark volcanic rock. According to Icelandic folklore, the waterfall is protected by a female troll named Drífa who is said to live among the rocks nearby. The surrounding “Troll Garden” features small sculptures and stories inspired by Iceland’s rich tradition of troll legends.
- Tour stop
Hidden along the shores of Hvalfjörður fjord, Hvammsvík offers one of the most scenic geothermal bathing experiences in Iceland. Several natural pools are built directly into the shoreline, blending geothermal water with the changing tides of the Atlantic. Surrounded by mountains and untouched nature, this is a peaceful and authentic place to relax after a full day of exploration. Guests can also enjoy food and drinks at the on-site restaurant before returning to Reykjavík.
- Tour stop
A small historic village deeply connected to Iceland’s medieval history and literary heritage. Reykholt was the home of Snorri Sturluson, the 13th-century scholar, poet, and chieftain who preserved much of Norse mythology and Viking history through his writings. Visitors can see the remains of Snorri’s geothermal bath and learn about the saga age that shaped Icelandic culture.
- Tour stop
After the final stop at Hvammsvík, the journey continues back toward Reykjavík along the scenic coastline of Hvalfjörður. The drive offers beautiful views of the fjord, surrounding mountains, and quiet countryside before arriving back in the capital at the end of the day.
